Visit an Outsourcing Center Before Writing the RFP
Last week we hosted our European Influencer Summit from our Granada Delivery Center in southern Spain, and it reminded me why it should be mandatory for all organizations who are considering HR or Payroll Outsourcing to visit such a center. For most analysts and advisors this visit into a large-scale HR Outsourcing center was very rare, however we often talk about such centers in the abstract of RFP’s and PowerPoint presentations.
The NGA Granada Delivery Center is impressive on a number of fronts. Firstly, this facility is one of the largest, multi-dimensional HR Outsourcing centers in the world. From the Granada Center, our team of 800+ people from 32 different nations support payroll for 27 different countries, offer HR Administration and Talent Management outsourcing services across SAP HCM, PeopleSoft, SuccessFactors, and Workday platforms. They support about 1million employees, provide Application Management outsourcing for both OnPremise HCM and Cloud HR, and answer telephone calls in 18 different languages.
Now, these facts sound impressive when presented in the boardroom of a future client for their vendor selection presentation, however I think we should make it mandatory for all future-clients, analysts and advisors to spend some considerable time inside an operational center like this; not during the RFP or final selection phase, but well before the RFI or RFP is even written. I don’t really mind whether it one of our centers or one of our competitors (or actually both is better) but take the time to meet the people behind the services and really understand the service offering. Spend a week, save a million, and get the project right.
