It is a fun reminder of how global NGA has become when on the way to the coffee machine you can hear six different languages being spoken by our consultants. Coordinating and aligning technical teams between countries and even continents has provided me with the challenge and multinational experience I have always wanted.

Delivering our services at the standards the client expects, although challenging, is also very rewarding. The relationships cultivated within the company can grow outside of the work environment which makes working in NGA a fun experience when there are others with the same global outlook and perspective surrounding you.

I originally came to NGA because I was attracted by its vibrant professionals and was looking to broaden my competencies in the field of human resources. During my time in the company, I cannot say that I have been disappointed on either account. My colleagues are as vibrant as they are capable, and I have had the opportunity to develop a variety of skills that will serve as the foundation to a solid career path.

There are a number of factors that make NorthgateArinso an excellent employer to work for: Our company possesses great leaders that are willing to invest in the development of their employees. Managers are not afraid to take risks and provide room to grow in new areas. Although expectations are high, the challenges placed on employees remain clear and reasonable. NGA hosts a positive work environment, where working relationships remain both genuine and professional.

NorthgateArinso is also an international company that challenges and develops the intercultural skills of its employees. Having had the opportunity to travel around the world, visiting many of our different sites; it seems that the fabric of our corporate culture is much the same across the globe

In September 2010, I joined the Belgian NGA team. This is my first job, since I graduated in 2010. The main reasons why I chose NGA are the growth possibilities and the variation in the job. One day at NGA can be completely different from another one!

I have worked for NGA for a year now and I must say that this year has passed very fast. During this time, I had the opportunity to complete training programmes and I have worked on multiple projects. These projects were new to me but this makes it very challenging and interesting. It is fun to learn a lot on the job and to feel that you are growing.

A career at NGA is full of variation, great opportunities to learn and endless possibilities to grow.

From the very first day when I joined the company, which was over 5 years ago, I realized the myriad of opportunities awaiting me here in NGA to help me develop my potential as a person and as a professional. I cannot stress enough how pleased and proud I am for being part of this team formed by people from all over the world with whom I am happy to work on a daily basis.

I joined NGA as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) when we first started to outsource T1 services. After some time I became a HR Outsourcing (HRO) T1 Manager leading a team of 72 resources. Last year I worked as an Regional Service Delivery Manager (RSDM) for a client located in 9 countries within the Americas and recently I changed my position to Transition Manager working with a global account. I am certainly glad to face all the challenges that this new role will bring about.

I have been with NorthgateArinso since 1999. At the time I joined ARINSO (at the time a Belgian company employing about 600 employees) as a SAP HCM consultant. Over the years the company grew to one of the biggest players in the HR services market.

In 2007 I was appointed Executive Director for Europe and Latin America, overseeing our commercial and operational presence in 22 countries. In my role I see many people starting at an entry-level and growing into a management role, many of them even abroad to help tackle bigger challenges. All of our people are driven by the same passion for HR excellence.

NorthgateArinso is uniquely positioned in the HR services market as we combine a focus on customer satisfaction with years of experience in HR consulting, HR outsourcing and HR technology. I take pride in what I do and enjoy interacting with our employees and customers from various cultures around the world on a daily basis. It doesn’t feel like work, it’s more like a passion.

What do you expect to achieve at NGA?

My career with NGA took a deviation that I never expected from a Sr. Associate to a Process Trainer. My goal is to be in the Learning and Development team, a team that supports in developing their skills to reach the next level. In future, I would like to proudly claim that “I am a corporate trainer of NGA.”

How has your career evolved since you started at NGA?

I joined NGA on January 10th of 2011 as a Senior Associate and my responsibility was to handle the queries that we receive from Client. Me being part of pilot batch for the process, there was a requirement of a Quality Analyst and I was identified as the QA of the team. I believe getting into the QA post was the stepping stone of my career growth with NGA. In another 3 months time I was identified as the Process Trainer and which was a huge recognition for me. I was also provided with an opportunity to strengthen my knowledge in American Payroll by NGA, by offering me with a Fundamentals of payroll Certification course. Today, I am proud to say that I have lived up to company’s expectation by clearing the certification course. Now I have an “FPC” qualification along with my name, which I consider is a great achievement. And my career with NGA has evolved from a Sr. Associate position to a Process Trainer who is FPC certified and I am looking forward for more opportunities coming along my way.

How do you help clients become better employers?

NGA is a company that is into HRM business and our main motto is Client satisfaction. We as NGA employee’s clearly understand that the way to achieve client satisfaction is by providing better service to the employee’s. We as a Service Center, interact more with the employees when compared to Clients, which gives us the opportunity to understand their needs better than the Clients. We utilize this opportunity to understand the employees’ needs and pass it across to the Clients which would give them a chance to turn themselves into better Employers

Why is working at NGA fun?

You can see how much the brand value of the company has grown when you see people from different parts of country at work. The experience of working with employees from diverse cultures is immense which also creates a healthy atmosphere. This bond developed at work, extends outside work and keeps the fun element active always. I can’t close this without a mention of the unwritten policy of fun at work that adds flavor to my work day. Be it honoring visitors and involving them in the activities of NGA Kochi or celebrating every festival and holiday with the same fun and frolic keeps the surprise factor alive.

Which opportunities has a career at NGA offered you so far?

One thing I have seen and experienced in NGA is when you have the talent you are sure to be recognized and given opportunities to use your skills. When I had shown my interest to take new and additional responsibilities, I had the opportunity to manage the most important objective of NGA, seat utilization for the site. With this I also started handling the monthly report for Kochi to the global team which helped me analyze and understand the day to day process of the entire site. I also recently had the opportunity to work and improvise the objective of client management across the site. As part of skill upgrading plan, I am also nominated for the training for American payroll certification.

How has your career evolved since you started at NGA?

I moved from Convergys to NGA as part the HRM business transition. I had high expectations and NGA did not let me down. Instead I was overwhelmed by the amount opportunities to grow and develop within the organization. I moved into NGA as a group leader and started managing 2 teams. In the same year, I was assigned 3 additional teams with the total size increased to more than 100. Apart from my additional skills recognized, I was also promoted to a process manager in 2012. With the vast growth opportunities, I can expect my career to scale new heights.

How are NGA values helping you do a better job?

Each value of NGA is significant to perform my day to day activities. ONE TEAM helps creating a bond within the team which also ensures that the work is cared for with minimal supervision with the required SPEED & RESPONSIBILITY to meet client requirements. With the motive to improve and simplify work, the team is INNOVATIVE which again helps to provide EXCELLENT service to the clients.

Which opportunities has a career at NGA offered you so far?

I joined NGA as a trainee associate 3 years back in June 2009. After 6 months I got confirmed and promoted as a senior associate and at that time I was a part of UK payroll team. In the same year NGA initiated a career development workshop for all EEs and this helped me to plan my career and prepare myself. My managers always made sure that I’m in the right track and supported me to build a strong career within NGA. And that’s the best part; you will always have support and guidance from every level of management. In addition to this I got the wonderful opportunity to complete CIPP certification which helped me improve on my knowledge of UK payroll. This is when I was nominated for the “Outsourcing award 2010” which was global level recognition. In 2010, I got promoted as an Acting Team Leader and was provided with the opportunity to be part of HRM process transition from Convergys. After this I was promoted as a Team Leader in 2011 and was given the opportunity to handle a voice team. This gave me the exposure of handling both voice and non voice teams. NGA has offered me many opportunities and I grabbed almost each of it and showcased my talents. I’m proud and happy to be a part of the large NGA family wherein you get a chance to explore yourself, utilize your skill as required and get recognized.

Which type of work do you do at NGA?

In NGA I’ve got the opportunity to work in UK Payroll Business, HRM Business support for Asia Pacific, US & Canada. HRM Voice and Non Voice processes. At present I’m handling UK payroll process both LME/SME team.

How are NGA values helping you do a better job?

All 5 values are equally important and I use them appropriately to achieve 100% accuracy in all our work, excellent service delivery, building and molding our team and evaluating their performance, improving service delivery by implementing new ideas etc. I totally believe these 5 excellent tools will directly deliver 100% Client satisfaction.
