Prysmian’s strong growth and recent acquisition lead the Italian company to a new HR challenge. They needed migration, automation, global support, and first-class technology. NGA provided a flexible solution while reducing cost.
However, the existing HR information system offered little room for customization, flexibility or scalability, and a lot of manual intervention and unnecessary costs were required to enable HR transformation and simplification. As a result, Prysmian decided to look for a new HR IT solution.
Prysmian is a world leader in high-technology cables and systems for energy and telecommunications. Its strong growth and the recent acquisition of the Dutch company Draka increased the need for Prysmian to manage its HR processes differently.
In addition, NGA was able to support Prysmian in their future global growth and to ensure their SAP HR systems include the latest and greatest technology.
Prysmian chose NGA Human Resources as their partner to manage the carve-out of the previous HRIS towards a new SAP HR platform which is now completely owned by Prysmian. NGA hereby managed the data migration and replication and advised Prysmian on elements like automation, usage on mobile platforms and HR services delivery that are best in class, generating additional efficiencies and cost savings.

Thanks to NGA's in-depth expertise of SAP HR implementation projects, Prysmian now has it own OnPremise SAP HR and payroll system. By adding employee and manager self-service functionality and mobile enablement to this migrated HR system, time-consuming processes were automated allowing HR to focus on more strategic HR tasks.
NGA Human Resources was able to provide customization and flexibility while reducing costs by approximately 20%. Prysmian now has the possibility to expand NGA Human Resources’ technology and services globally in the future, including for multi-country HR services.
